Founded in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1959, our facility includes custom
compression molding, milling and calendaring operations. Tulsa
Rubber Company thrives on custom molding and design. We now serve
many different industries with products such as custom molded items,
rubber to metal bonding, fabric reinforced and all rubber diaphragms,
bearing pads for bridges and construction, valve seats for chemical
processing, gaskets, seals, and packing for the oil industry and mounts,
vibration dampners and bushings for the transportation and heavy
equipment industry.
Our 22,500 sq. ft. plant includes an 84”- 2 Roll Open Mill and a 48”- 2
Roll Open Mill. This gives us the flexibility to mix small batches as
well as large long run capability.
Our 38 Four Post Presses ranging from 12”to 24”, and 36” Platens are
capable of operating to 450 Tons clamping pressure and are powered
by self-contained pumping units. All molds or tooling are clamped into
the presses to insure mold life, more efficiency, stable heat and
better products. We specialize in compression and transfer molding and
are flexible enough to make long production runs as well as short one
or two shift runs.
Tulsa Rubber Co.’s three-roll 18” X 44” Calendar is used to
permanently bond rubber to specially-treated nylon or cotton-duck
fabric to guarantee a non-wicking molded diaphragm.
We have complete facilities for extruding, post-curing, inspection,
quality control and trimming. Tulsa Rubber Co. makes every rubber
part from a carefully prepared recipe or formula compounded to meet any
customer’s needs or specifications and we mold virtually every type of
elastomer in general use. When you are unable to locate an off-the-shelf
item Tulsa Rubber Co. will help with product design, prototype
work, quality, delivery and performance.
